Geezer League Banquet Sept. 19
With the conclusion of Senior League this past Tuesday the participants will gather in the dining room of the Restaurant on Tuesday, Sept. 19 for season ending banquet and social gathering. This season saw 72 players enjoying the Tuesday afternoon golf, which was played in a variety of team and individual formats. Points are awarded each week for closest to the flagstick, deuces, low net scores and team performance based on the four person team that week. One of the great things about Senior League is the chance to play with different people each week. Paul Jeremiassen and Jack Shigo organize the play each week and track the point totals for the league.
New Practice Green for North Course
Starting on Monday, Sept. 18, construction will begin to renovate and double the putting surface of the North Course practice green. An expanded irrigation system will be installed as well to make sure the coverage is adequate and evenly distributed for the new green. Parameter lighting will be installed as well for night time pedestrian traffic from the restaurant, deck and lounge areas. The size of the putting surface will expand to over 10,000 square feet compared to roughly 5,000 square feet currently.
