Circus arts company performs one night only
The Whitefish Theatre Company presents a special evening with Acrobatic Conundrum, Seattle’s premier contemporary circus arts company, during a one night only event on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.
Acrobatic Conundrum aims to create exhilarating ensemble-based performances that engage and amaze audiences. The company blends virtuosic circus skill, dance, mesmerizing juggling acts, and breathtaking aerial acrobatics to create work that is poetic, a little absurd, and deeply relatable. In their thrillingly beautiful, family-friendly show titled “Love & Gravity,”Acrobatic Conundrum transports audiences to a captivating world seemingly free of the bounds of physics, but not free of the unpredictable struggle for human connection.
Acrobatic Conundrum was founded in 2012 by Artistic Director Terry Crane. The ensemble has produced six shows and has appeared nationally and internationally at such venues as New York City’s SummerStage, the Chicago Contemporary Circus Festival, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Vancouver CircusFest, TEDxRainier, and The Backstreet Festival in Alexandria, Egypt. The company is a 2015 and 2017 recipient of the City of Seattle’s CityArtist Projects Award. City Arts Magazine calls Acrobatic Conundrum, “the essence of modern circus: intimate and personal, a combination of impressive physical skills and emotional storytelling.”
