Wandering dog makes escape into trees
Monday, Sept. 25
8:13 a.m. A young child tested positive for marijuana.
9:56 a.m. A blue heeler mix was wandering around near the railroad.
10:23 a.m. A woman was concerned with a suspicious-looking vehicle sitting outside a school.
12:20 p.m. A loose blue heeler mix was following cars and people near Sawtooth Drive. The heeler ran up to the responding officers before making its escape into the trees.
Tuesday, Sept. 26
9:28 a.m. A deer with a broken leg was on the jogging trail near the river.
9:51 a.m. A caller wanted to know if his neighbor was allowed to trim his tree.
9:59 a.m. A large black bear appeared out of the woods on East Second Street.
8:11 p.m. A man was trespassing and panhandling on Baker Avenue.
10:18 p.m. A mountain bike was stolen from its metal lock outside a Colorado Avenue building.
11:18 p.m. A woman was urinating on the side of a Central Avenue building.
Wednesday, Sept. 27
11:03 a.m. A mustached man was pushing around the caller at a gas station.
3:50 p.m. A caller was surprised to find an arrow had been shot in her yard.
4:19 p.m. A caller was frustrated with vehicles speeding down West Second Street.
5:30 p.m. A Denver Street resident said nearby construction was shaking his house.
8:39 p.m. Several people were going through items outside an East First Street store and loading them into a truck.
Thursday, Sept. 28
8:49 a.m. A group of transients were digging through a dumpster on East First Street.
9:23 a.m. A man and his “vicious dog” had been living in a vehicle on Highway 93 South for several days.
Friday, Sept. 29
10:59 a.m. A Texas Avenue caller reported a transient camp near the bike path.
12:17 p.m. A woman needed assistance after locking her son in the car. The husband was able to arrive on the scene and unlock the door.
7:22 p.m. A deer fell victim to a driver on East Lakeshore Drive and needed to be dispatched.
10:24 p.m. A “bunch of underage kids” appeared to be drinking in a Highway 93 South parking lot.
Saturday, Sept. 30
11:28 a.m. An East First Street caller noticed their gate broken and bent and some items stolen.
9:30 p.m. A caller thought it best if the dead deer near the viaduct was removed before animals continued to feed on it.
Sunday, Oct. 1
4:37 a.m. A man assaulted a Peregrine Lane resident and refused to leave.
8:21 a.m. A caller was frustrated with a vehicle that had been parked on East First Street for a month.
12:01 p.m. A wallet disappeared during Oktoberfest celebrations the previous night.
12:21 p.m. A man trying to get his boat out of the water was met with a locked gate.
6:27 p.m. A cold chihuahua was found on Colorado Avenue.
