Whitefish Shines says thanks to all those who help

| November 21, 2017 12:24 PM

The volunteer committee of Whitefish Shines would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the record number of community volunteers who turned out Sunday, Nov. 19 to help hang the Whitefish winter decorations.

This project is in its seventh decade and would not be possible without these volunteers, those who make financial donations to the project, and the assistance of Flathead Electric Co-op linemen, Rocky Mountain Painting, Fast Signs, and the city of Whitefish.

If you happen to see any decorations that are not lit right away, fear not, as each fall there are always minor adjustments to plugs, etc. that need to be made and everything should be lit within a week or two of hanging the decorations. If you’re ever wondering about some part of the decorations project, please feel free to call Chris Schustrom at 260-1198. If you would like to make a donation to this community project, please mail your donation to Whitefish Shines, P.O. Box 695 Whitefish, Montana 59937.

The Whitefish Shines Committee includes, Trek Stephens, Jim Trout, Mike Powers, Michelle Howke, Lynn Cherrington, Chris Schustrom, Mark Svennungsen and Jim MacKenzie.
