Club gives thanks for support of ski swap

| November 14, 2017 3:16 PM

Well, this was it! THE busiest ski swap that the Big Mountain Ski Club has ever held.

The Wave very graciously hosted our event once again and this year more consignors brought in more fabulous used ski and winter equipment than we have ever seen.

Glacier Cyclery, Runner Up, and the Sportsman and Ski Haus helped us, with their expertise, to outfit all for the upcoming ski season. DREAM Adaptive, Glacier Nordic, and Sue Janik with Soroptomist all had information available and Jimmy Deats and crew from JD Thinning helped with hauling and set up/tear down of the actual swap floor.

Whitefish Mountain Resort had a table present for skiers to have their pass photos taken. And none of this would be remotely possible without our massive family of volunteers, most of whom return year after year.

The Big Mountain Ski Club’s goal is to get as many kids on skis as possible and with this banner year we will be able to help more children learn the fun of skiing through our third through sixth grade Whitefish Schools Ski Program. Also, join our Learn to Ski Program for 5- to 12-year-olds on Saturdays or Sundays. It starts in January and culminates in March, and is one of the many benefits that the Big Mountain Ski Club provides at no charge with a $35 family club membership. This is all made possible by this annual ski swap event.

So, once again, thank you “mountains” from our Big Mountain Ski Club family to yours for buying and selling at our annual swap! We look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces on the slopes.
