Glacier Twins suffer tough series against AA Lakers
It’s back to the drawing board for the Glacier Twins after the Lakers AA swept a three-game series over the weekend.
On Saturday the Twins dropped a high scoring 16-8 game. Nine runs in the sixth for the Lakers shifted away a 7-2 Twins lead, and Glacier couldn’t recover after that. Greyson Bistodeau and Bryce Fagerland both went 1-2 at the plate. Fagerland and Ryan Veneman both had two RBIs each.
The following evening the Twins kept it close in a 4-2 nailbiter at home, but couldn’t get over a poor scoring night to take the lead. Coby Clark-Dickenson went 2-4. Terek Bistodeau and Dan Seymour drove in the two runs for the Twins.
In the Memorial Day matchup Monday afternoon, the Lakers closed out the series with a convincing 19-10 win in Kalispell. James Sampson-Keck went 2-4 and Veneman 3-5.
The two teams combined for 59 runs, 70 hits and 26 errors in the three games.
Glacier will compete in the Helena Tournament on June 9-11.
