Spring Pro-Am May 8
Spring Pro-Am
Monday, May 8 is the date of the Whitefish Lake Golf Club spring Pro-Am, which will be played on the North Course. Teams will be arriving from courses around the region and will consist of a Golf Professional and four amateurs. The format will be a combined score of one low gross score and one low net score for each hole. Because of the extreme wet conditions on the South Course rounds there will consist of only the 10 holes of 1-5 and 14-18. Hopefully warmer and drier weather is on the way soon and the conditions will improve.
Cart use cooperation
The staff and management of WLGC really appreciates our members and guests for following the cart path only rule during the period of wet conditions on both courses. Whitefish Lake Golf Club is the only public course in the Valley that has wall to wall cart paths so we can allow their use during this unusually wet cycle. Carts and even foot traffic can create considerable turf damage this time of year so please continue to exercise good judgment while playing and avoid obvious wet areas. The Flathead Valley has experienced nearly double the normal amount of precipitation already this year.
Season Opener
Saturday, May 13 is the date for the Annual Season Opener tournament, which is scheduled to be played on the North Course. The two-person, better net ball format is a fun event with prizes galore and various flights based on team handicap for both men and women. Registration includes a luncheon, hopefully on the deck, after the round and a chance to play with one of your friends in a team format. The entry fee per player is only $40, and as stated includes, lunch and various prizes. Call or stop into the Golf Shop to register your team, 862-5960.
