No. 2358 CITY OF WHITEFISH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING On March 6, 2017, the Whitefish City Council passed Resolution No. 17-11, a Resolution indicating its intent to exclude from the City's boundaries property described as Lake Park Addition, Tract 4 in Block 1, Section 26, Township 31 North, Range 22 West, in the City of Whitefish, Montana, describing the land to be so excluded and finding the petition was signed by the owners of not less than three-fourths in value of the land to be excluded, that the land was within the corporate limits and on the border of corporate limits, and that the granting of the petition is in the best interest of the City and will not materially mar its symmetry. For a period of 20 days after the first publication of the notice on March 15, 2017, the City Clerk shall accept written comments approving or disapproving the proposed alteration of the boundaries of the City from owners of property proposed to be excluded. At the meeting of the Whitefish City Council held on Monday, April 17, 2017, at 7:10 p.m. in the Whitefish City Council Chambers, 1005 Baker Avenue, Whitefish, MT, the City Council will hold a public hearing for the purpose of receiving public input regarding the proposed exclusion of Lake Park Addition, Tract 4 in Block 1, Section 26, Township 31 North, Range 22 West, Flathead County, Montana. Individuals may appear or submit written testimony at the hearing to comment on the proposed exclusion. No. 2359 The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC), Stillwater Unit is proposing a reciprocal road easement exchange package with Weyerhaeuser Company(WEY) and Trust for Public Land (TPL), a nonprofit conservation corporation who holds an option agreement for a 13,400 acre block of land in the Stillwater area. The project area lies east of Olney, MT (Hwy. 93) and west of Lower Whitefish Road within Township 33N, Range 23W and Township 32N, Range 23W, Swift Creek and Lazy Creek drainages. The Montana DNRC will hold a public hearing at the Northwestern Land Office at 655 Timberwolf Parkway in Kalispell on Thursday, March 23 at 1:00 PM to provide for public comment and review of the proposal with DNRC, WEY, TPL and MT FWP. No. 2360 The Whitefish Trail Operations Committee is requesting quotations from interested contractors for trailhead construction during the spring of 2017. The new trailhead will be located adjacent to the City of Whitefish water treatment plant on Reservoir Road. Specifications and guidelines will be available by 1:00pm Wednesday, March 22, at Whitefish Parks & Recreation Department at 510 Railway St., Whitefish, MT, or online at www.whitefishlegacy.org. Interested contractors will be required to attend a mandatory walk-through on Thursday, April 6, at 9:30am. Quotations will be due by 4:00pm on Friday, April 21, with work slated to begin as soon as possible thereafter. Trailhead construction must be completed no later than June 30. Bids should be submitted to the Whitefish Parks & Recreation Department referencing Whitefish Trail Lower Haskill Trailhead Construction.
