Stone earns P.E.O. scholarship

A $1,500 scholarship was awarded to McKayla Stone by Rebecca Hjertberg, president of the P.E.O. Chapter D, at the Whitefish High School awards night ceremony.

Stone plans to attend Montana State University to major in nursing with plans to be a traveling nurse. She was active in many school programs where she won many awards. She was also involved in many community events.

P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women, educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
