Monthly Gallery Night held Thursday
The Whitefish art community hosts an evening of featured artist exhibitions the first Thursday of the month.
The next Whitefish Gallery Night is July 6. Events take place at 11 participating galleries from 6-9 p.m.
The participating galleries include: Dick Idol Signature Gallery, Frame of Reference Fine Art, Going To The Sun Gallery, McGough & Company, Stephen Isley Jewelry, Stumptown Art Studio, Sunti World Art Gallery, The Purple Pomegranate, The Walking Man Frame Shop & Gallery, Whitefish Pottery & Stillwater Gallery and White Apple Gallery.

- The Walking Man Frame Shop & Gallery will be featuring Charity Flowers, a Flathead Valley ceramic sculpture artist. “Origin of Self” will exhibit a variety of mixed media ceramic pieces for pedestal and wall display. - The Purple Pomegranate, a fine craft specialty store, is featuring work by Kalispell artist, Paula Rindal during the month of July. Most of her latest work invites the viewer to look at leaves and nature in a new way. Her eco-printed work extracts the natural pigments of a leaf and creates layers of texture and depth. - Whitefish Pottery and Stillwater Gallery present, George McCauley, ceramic artist from Helena and Chuck Haney, photographer from Whitefish. Both are known nationally and internationally for their work. McCaule’s signature “Red Neck Majolica” style of glazing and Haney’s captivating landscape photographs will be on display.
The show will run through the month of July.
- Dick Idol Signature Gallery will feature artist Ben Pease.
Through the use of historical photographs, vintage ledger paper and mixed media, the Belgrade artist of Crow Descent creates work that pivots on self-discovery and cultural identity.
