Catina, Cote named to Shrine Game
The Bulldogs will have two representatives on the gridiron during this year’s East-West Shrine Game.
Travis Catina will start at inside linebacker for the West team, and Tyler Cote is on the alternate roster as a cornerback. Both players earned All-State honors this season for their offensive play and All-Conference honors for offense and defense.
Forty Montana players are selected to compete on each team, along with two players from Calgary, one for the East team and one for the West.
The East team will be coached by Chris Murdock from Billings Central while Tony Arnston from Helena High will coach the West team.
Every year since 1947, Montana’s best prep players are selected to compete in the Shrine Game to raise money and awareness for the orthopedic and burn clinic at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Spokane, Washington. Last year the game raised more than $100,000, increasing the total amount raised in the last four years to $375,000.
