A final message from Polly Penguin

I’m waving farewell to my cousins, the Gentoo Penguins, as I’m ready to make my slow way home. Home is where the heart is ... Whitefish!

One unforgettable experience was a narrow escape from the jaws of a leopard seal while swimming for my dinner of krill ... whew!

No ski lifts here, so I hike up Penguin trails to bask in the summer sun. Then I take a quick run down a trail for a plunge in Drake Passage and is it ever cold!

Miss you all and I’ll be back for next year’s Winter Carnival.
