The Lady Bulldogs finished their final home game of the season on a sour note, falling to Corvallis 62-21 on Friday.

Keeping the team morale up during a down season isn’t easy, head coach Ben Johnson said, but he reminds his team that the season “starts over” with the Western A Divisional Tournament at the end of the month.

“Just got to keep going,” he said. “We’ve been waiting for one of those nights where we shoot the lights out. If that comes in the tournament, that’s even better.”

Johnson said his goal is to split the final four games of the season, playing Stevensville on Friday and Frenchtown on Saturday, and Columbia Falls and Polson next week. The key is picking up a first win against Stevensville, he said.

“They’re a beatable team, and then the last game of the season is against Polson,” he said. “We’re going to go for it and try to go .500 for the next four games.”
