Chorale invites community voices for 'Messiah Sing'

Glacier Chorale invites the community to join with them in a new “audience interactive” version of Handel’s timeless work, Messiah. The “Messiah Sing” concert will be performed in beautiful church venues in Bigfork, Whitefish and Kalispell over three performances on Dec. 15, 16 and 17. It is an opportunity to sing Handel’s beautiful choruses with the Chorale under the direction of Micah Hunter and accompanied by organist, Alma Ramlow.

Come lift up your voice and share some of Messiah’s best-loved, magnificent choruses including “And the Glory of the Lord,” the majestic “He Shall Purify” and the popular “Hallelujah Chorus,” considered to be one of the greatest sacred selections of the entire choral repertory.

“Handel’s ‘Messiah’ is a truly timeless masterpiece. The joy of singing its magnificent choruses is a joy we want to share with all. We invite our audience to sing along with any or all of their favorite choruses, or to simply sit back and listen,” comments Hunter.

A limited number of copies of the music for Messiah will be available for the audience at the door; patrons are advised to bring their own if they have them. No prior singing experience is required.

Performances will be held on Friday, Dec. 15, 7:30 p.m. at Saint John Paul Catholic Church in Bigfork; Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, at 301 Central Ave. in Whitefish; Sunday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at 540 S. Main St. in Kalispell.
