The Whitefish Bulldogs are set to return to the gridiron in this Friday’s season opener against Hamilton.

Whitefish will play at 7 p.m. at Memorial Field on Friday.

Following the Bulldogs’ first state title in 36 years, Whitefish last season fell to an underwhelming 3-6 record overall and 1-2 in Northwest A conference play for third place.

The Bulldogs faced off against the Broncs in their final game of last season, falling 33-20.

Whitefish kicked off practice Aug. 11 at the field behind the high school.

This year’s team will feature some new faces, as last year’s team graduated starters Tyler Cote, Derek Kastella, Patrick McGeady, Travis Catina and Sawyer Silliker, among others.

Seniors this year include Caleb Meehan, Luke Schwaiger, Forrest Kobelt, Parker McWhirter, Alex Barker, Aalec Pace and Brendyn Peacock.
