| September 13, 2016 8:39 PM

Two new board members will be elected at this year’s annual meeting on Saturday, Oct. 15 with one male and one female tier one member replacing the outgoing board members. At this time we have contested races for both seats with Diana Johann and Tracey Whisenand vying for the seat to be vacated by Leslee Washer. Bill Bayne and Bill LeLievre are running for the seat to be available with John Peschel completing his term on the board.

Absentee ballots will be available starting on Sept. 30 for members unable to attend the Oct. 15 annual meeting. These ballots will be available in the Golf Shop for Tier One members to cast their ballots for one male and one female candidate.

Fall Pro-Am Sept. 17-18

A 10 a.m. shotgun start is scheduled for this weekend’s fall Pro-Am tournament at Whitefish Lake Golf Club. The field is full with 30 teams currently registered to participate and will represent golf courses from all over the region including Canadian Golf Professionals and players. Whitefish Lake Golf Club members will be drawn from a list of applicants to complete the five-person visiting teams with one local assigned to each out of town team.

Play will be on the South Course on Saturday, Sept. 17 with the North Course open for member and guest play. On Sunday, the tournament will move to the North Course leaving the South open for non-tournament players.
