Whitefish High School is gearing up for it annual homecoming festivities set for next week.
Events runs Sept. 19-24 with activities for students, parents and community members. The week is filed with a host of athletic and community activities.
On Monday, froshmore and junior varsity volleyball and froshmore football both kick off the week against Eureka. Volleyball is in the gym starting at 4:15 and football plays at 5 p.m.
On Tuesday, WHS will hold a parents open house from 6-8 p.m., followed by the community bonfire and pep-rally at 8:30 p.m. at the school.
On Thursday, all volleyball teams face off against Polson beginning at 4:15 p.m.
On Friday at 4:30 p.m., the Homecoming Parade begins at Memorial Field travels north along Pine Avenue onto Second Street before turning north at Whitefish Middle School then turning west on Railway Street before making its way down Central Avenue to Fourth Street and coming to an end at WHS,
Immediately following the parade, the Bulldog Booster Club will host a barbecue at Memorial Park. Burgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks will be served. Booster Club donations will be accepted.
That night the Bulldog football team takes on Corvallis at 7 p.m. at Memorial Field.
On Saturday, soccer wraps up the week with games at Memorial Field. The girls play at 5 p.m., followed by the boys at 7 p.m.
Those wanting to participate in the Homecoming Parade and business window decorating competition, with the goal of turning the town green and gold, should start planing now to show their support for the Whitefish Bulldogs. The deadline for entries into the parade is Sept. 20 at noon.
