Whitefish volleyball splits doubleheader in Bitterroot

The Lady Bulldogs (1-1) split a doubleheader road trip over the weekend, beating Hamilton but falling to Corvallis Saturday.
Whitefish took down their morning matchup with Hamilton, going 25-22, 25-12, 20-25 and 25-14 before heading to Corvallis for the backend of the non-conference games. Junior Cailyn Ross led the team against Hamilton with 44 kills and five blocks.
Corvallis swept the Lady Bulldogs in the evening, winning 25-22, 25-11 and 25-16. Senior Nina Thew led the team with 25 kills.
Whitefish hosts Columbia Falls Thursday for their first Northwest A conference matchup this season.
