Schatte and Lautaret marry

Jill Christine Schatte, daughter of Karla West of Whitefish and Chris Schatte of Traverse City, Michigan, and David Eugene Lautaret, son of Rena and Larry Lautaret of Whitefish, were married on Aug. 19. The ceremony was held at the home of the groom’s parents in Whitefish with Eric Murphy of Portland, Oregon, officiating at the ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Erica Schatte (sister) as maid of honor with Kimberly Deschene (sister), Kelly Haverlandt (sister), and Marissa Smith as bridesmaids. Zoralee Stoffer (Groom’s niece) was a junior bridesmaid. The best man was Eric Murphy with Luke Lautaret (brother), Jason Stoffer (brother-in-law), Kevin Scott, and Brad Gustafson as groomsmen. Junior groomsmen were Bennett Clear and Ziah Stoffer (nephews). Atticus Millard (bride’s great nephew) served as the ring bearer with Dessie Lynn Stoffer and Efia O’Brien (groom’s nieces) as the flower girls. The music was provided by the bride’s mother, Karla West, with vocals by the groom’s aunt, Melody Ackley, and the groom’s sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Jason Stoffer.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of Whitefish High School — 2004 and 2005 respectively. The bride is a registered nurse and works for Providence Health and Services. The groom is an assistant superintendent for D. R. Horton Construction. They reside in Portland, Oregon.
