Fern invested in his community

| October 11, 2016 5:15 PM

I am writing this letter in support of David Fern as he seeks a seat in the Montana Legislature. I have seen his dedication to hard work and his investment in his community firsthand. As a businessman he has done work for me at my property. As a school board member for the Whitefish School Board, he worked with me when I worked as a teacher in Whitefish for many years. As a businessman and a community leader, Dave Fern has shown me that he has what it takes to be a trusted leader for our state.

When I was living in West Valley there were several projects Dave helped me with in maintenance of my property. He was honest, and trustworthy in his work. I enjoyed, immensely, visiting with him on hearing his thoughts about the Whitefish community, and the direction our state has taken. He has a profound love of Whitefish, our county and our state. His understanding of issues we have has been admirable. He definitely has us as a priority in his thinking.

As a school board member, I remember one thing that set him apart from most other members. He asked if he could come and observe several of our classrooms while we were in action. In my almost 38 years of teaching, I had never had a school board member ask to see what we were doing with their children. I was so impressed that Dave Fern took the time to see education in action.

After years of knowing Dave Fern and seeing his dedication to his work and his community, I am confident that he will show that same dedication to Montanans in the state Legislature.
