Whitefish had a tough night Friday at Memorial Field falling to undefeated Columbia Falls, 42-0.

The Bulldogs (2-5) gained only 65 yards of total offense compared to the Wildcats’ 510. Wildcat quarterback Dakota Bridwell ran for one touchdown and threw for four more.

For Whitefish, quarterback Derek Kastella finished 5-17 passing for 30 yards and a pick. Tyler Cote led the team in rushing with 21 yards on 11 carries.

The Bulldogs are without a conference win after falling to both Polson and Columbia Falls (6-0). The Wildcats sit behind Polson (5-1) in Northwest A standings.

The Bulldogs will travel to take on Frenchtown (2-5) on Friday.

Frenchtown is currently tied with Whitefish at the bottom of Northwest A standings, with a 2-5 record and one conference loss. Last year’s matchup saw Whitefish winning 45-0 in a blowout.

This week, the Bulldogs will need to stop quarterback Ty Hoppie, who is third in the conference in passing with 876 yards and five touchdowns, and running back Michael Edwards, who has 307 yards and three touchdowns on the year.

The game will be at 7 p.m. at Frenchtown.
