Jay Wesley Shrode III

Jay Shrode III, 59, of Hendersonville, passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2016.

Funeral service was Saturday, Sept. 17 from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. Interment was held at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Philpot, Kentucky, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation was Sept. 16 at Family Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Shrode was born May 18, 1957, in Whitefish. He is survived by wife, Karen Husk Shrode of Hendersonville; daughters, Amy Scott (Jeremy) of Hendersonville and Sara Shrode of Millersville; father, Jay Wesley Shrode II (Lezlie) of Evansville, Indiana; mother, Faye Walters Shrode of Kalispell; brother, Scott Shrode (Cheryl) of Evansville, Indiana; and sister, Leslie Hayden (Clif) of Whitefish.

Mr. Shrode was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church. He was employed by R.R. Donnelley for 26 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity, Shalom Zone, or Rehoboth United Methodist Church Children and Youth Groups.
