No. 2345 INVITATION TO BID Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received at the City Clerk's Office, City Hall, 1005 Baker Avenue, Whitefish, Montana, 59937 until 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2016 and will be opened and publicly read at that time. As soon thereafter as is possible, the City Council will consider the bids and a sale of the following property by the City of Whitefish, via a bill of sale will be made: Purchase and removal of the office building in Depot Park at 510 Railway Street in the City of Whitefish, Flathead County, Montana. Bidders must state payment and closing dates. Building will be available for relocation in early to mid-April, 2017. There are no minimum bids on the building. The City desires prompt payment and may take into account promptness offered by each bidder in determining the highest and best bid. Bidders shall bid only on City-provided bid proposal forms, addressed to the City Clerk's Office, City of Whitefish, enclosed in a sealed envelope marked plainly on the outside, "Bid for Purchase of Depot Park building - Opening December 8, 2016". Each bidder shall submit cash, a certified check, bid bond, cashier's check, bank money order or bank draft payable to the City Clerk, Whitefish, Montana, and drawn and issued by a national banking association located in the State of Montana or by any banking corporation incorporated under the laws of the State of Montana for an amount of $500.00 as a good faith deposit. Personal checks not accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and if all bids are rejected, to re-advertise under the same or new specifications, or to make such an award as in the judgment of its officials best meets the City's requirements and the public interest. The City reserves the right to waive any technicality in the bidding which is not of a substantial nature. No. 2350 CITY OF WHITEFISH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its regular meeting on Monday, December 5, 2016, at 7:10 PM, in the City Council Chambers, located at 1005 Baker Avenue, Whitefish, MT, the City Council will conduct a hearing for the purpose of receiving public comment regarding the proposed initial monthly rates for leased parking spaces in the new Whitefish parking structure. Individuals may appear or submit written testimony at the hearing to comment on the proposed initial monthly rates for leased parking spaces in the new Whitefish parking structure. No. 2353 BUDGET AMENDMENT PROCLAMATION SCHOOL DISTRICT COUNTY At a regular meeting of the board of trustees of School District No.44, Flathead County, Montana, held November 8, 2016 at 7 p.m. in the Whitefish School District Board Room, the following resolution was introduced: WHEREAS, the trustees of School District No.44, Flathead County, Montana, have made a determination that as a result of the need to address deferred maintenance items including replacement equipment, key card access restrictions, parking lot and drainage maintenance, security equipment, restroom remodeling, carpet replacement, heating control upgrades, and other items; and educational functions of the district including curriculum upgrades, the district's budgets for the Elementary and High School General Funds do not provide sufficient financing to properly maintain and support the district for the entire current school fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the trustees have determined that amendments to the Elementary General Fund budget in the amount of $500,000 and the High School General Fund budget in the amount of $300,000 is necessary under the provision of Section 20-9-161 (6), MCA; for the purpose of addressing the safety of students and staff and the educational functions of the district. WHEREAS, the anticipated source of financing the budget amendment expenditures shall be Elementary and High School General Fund Reserves; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of School District No.44, Flathead County, Montana, proclaims a need for amendments to the Elementary General Fund budget in the amount of $500,000 and the High School General Fund in the amount of $300,000 for fiscal year 2017 under Section 20-9-161 (6), MCA, for the purpose identified above, and; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of School District No.44, Flathead County, Montana, will meet at 7 p.m. at the Whitefish School District Board Room on December 13, 2016 for the purpose of considering and adopting the budget amendment.
