Showcase of the Chefs dinner Friday

A chance to ski with Olympic silver medalist Hilary Lindh will be auctioned off at the 2016 Showcase of the Chefs Dinner, Wine Tasting and Auction at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake on Friday, Nov. 18.

Other auction items include a ski day with Whitefish Olympian Maggie Voisin, weekend ski trips, a guided geology and glaciology field trip in Glacier National Park and a weeklong guided Bob Marshall Wilderness trip.

The showcase theme this year is “A Tribute to Ullr,” the Norse god of skiing, snowshoes and hunting. Chefs from Wasabi, Last Chair Kitchen and Bar, Whitefish Lake Restaurant, the Boat Club, Three Forks Grille and Pescado Blanco will prepare dinner.

The showcase is hosted by FVSEF each year to celebrate Whitefish’s skiing history and raise money for the Whitefish Mountain Race Team and the Ski Heritage Center Museum of Skiing.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $85 per person in advance and $95 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at Sportsman Ski Haus in Kalispell and Whitefish, Great Northern Cycle & Ski, The Lodge at Whitefish Lake and at www.fvsef.org.

All proceeds from the showcase benefit the Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation and the Ski Heritage Center Museum of Skiing.
