Three soccer players named All-State

Three Whitefish soccer players have been selected for the Class A All-State team.

Seniors Haley Nicholson and Mellisa Pollard earned the honor for the girls team, and junior Avery Hirsch was honored for the boys.

The Lady Dogs had seven players selected for All-Conference. Nicholson, Pollard, senior Julia Houston and junior Pixie Moore received first team honors, while freshman Anna Cook and juniors Lexi Carbo and Audrey Hyatt got second team honors.

For the boys, Hirsch and senior Marty Anderson received first team honors, and sophomore Xander Burger, senior Cody Brandt and freshman Sam Menicke were awarded second team honors.

Both the boys and girls teams made it to the first round of the state playoffs.
