Grateful for the extra candy for Halloween
After spending over $60 on Halloween candy we thought we were well prepared. After all we’ve lived on Columbia Avenue for over 20 years. What a nice surprise for the Whitefish Church of the Nazarene to deliver an extra bag of candy to the residents on Columbia Avenue. Then our former neighbor Sonja Burgard dropped off a couple of bags of candy. We’ve been recruiting good friends the Dennings and Pomeroys to help us out and they bring candy.
Being it was a school night and on the cool side thought it might be one of the quieter Halloweens. After serving over 800 trick or treaters by 8 p.m. it was time to shut the lights out as every bit of candy was depleted!
We enjoyed it and were especially thankful for the extra help.
Steve and Nina Laird live on Halloween Avenue, or as it’s known most days of the year, Columbia Avenue.
