Whitefish Theatre hosts summer camps

Enrollment is now open for Whitefish Theatre Co.’s Summer Performance Camps. Whitefish Theatre Co. is offering programs for four age groups, including kindergarten, first through second grades, third through fifth grades, and sixth through 10th grades. Theatre camps offer tools that promote self confidence in a supportive, creative and dynamic environment. All camps culminate in a short 15-25 minute demonstration for family and friends on the last day of the class.

Camps for 2016 include:

• “ADVENTURES in Theatre: The Little Engine that Could!” for kindergarten, July 11-15.

• “Kids Take the Stage: Where the Wild Things Are!” for first- and second-graders, July 18-22.

•“Musical Theatre Dance Showcase” for third- through fifth-graders, July 18-22.

• “Broadway Songbook” for sixth- through 10th-graders, July 18-22.

• “Acting for the Stage” for sixth- through 10th-graders, July 11-15.

• “Slapstick Comedy” for sixth- through ninth-graders, July 11-15.

Theatre and music instructors will include Amy Beth Chisholm, Rebecca Schaffer, Jessica Moore, Erica von Kleist, Katie Rose Scotten and Jesse DeVine. All classes except “Broadway Songbook” cost $100 if registration fees are paid before June 15. Camp fees are $120 after June 15. Registration fees for “Broadway Songbook” are $115 if paid before June 15 and $135 if paid after June 15.
