Whitefish High School will graduate 127 seniors at a commencement ceremony Saturday, June 4 at 1 p.m. at the high school gym.

Masters of Ceremony are Bergen Carloss and Walter Sobba. Sam Benkelman will address the class and Mariah Drown will deliver a farewell speech. Music will be provided by the Whitefish High School band, choir and orchestra.

Seniors are to report to the Whitefish Middle School cafeteria at 11:30 a.m. for final instructions and to load shuttle buses to the high school. Seniors will load a bus at 12:30 p.m. at the middle school and will arrive at Whitefish High School at 12:45 p.m. Participation in commencement is not mandatory to achieve graduation, but the district is encouraging all students to take part.

In recognition of academic achievement, students who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above will wear an honor medallion. Students in the National Honor Society will wear a gold cord.

Parking for family and friends will be available on all sides around the high school, as well as at Muldown Elementary. Six chauffeured golf carts will help shuttle people that park near Muldown, Pine Avenue, Fir Avenue and East Fourth Street.

Seating will be on a first come, first served basis and the doors will be open at noon on Saturday. The district advises families to ask their senior what side of the gym they will be entering so that family members will be able to select desired seating accordingly.

Photography is welcome. In addition, Jill Courtney of Courtney PhotoGraphics will take photos of every graduate. Photos can be ordered at jillcourtney.photostockplus.com.

Following the graduation recessional, seniors will gather outside at the track for a hat toss. After the hat toss, the graduates may pick up their diplomas at the gym concession stand. Honor cords must be returned to receive a diploma.

• A Baccalaureate will be held Friday, June 3, at 7 p.m., at the Whitefish High School gym. All seniors and families are invited to enjoy the art show, live jazz music and light refreshments starting at 6:30 p.m.

• On Thursday, June 2, nine students will graduate at the Whitefish Independent High School commencement ceremony at 1 p.m. in Hope Garden at Muldown Elementary. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will move to the black box theater at the high school.

• The senior class party will be held at The Wave on Saturday, June 4 beginning at 9 p.m. Detailed information regarding the party can be found on the WHS website.
