Don 'K' a true common-sense conservative

It’s rare that I send a letter to the editor to express my opinion. The elections are upon us, and if you are like me, the thought of picking our future leaders is not easy and can be confusing. One leader that I am not confused about is Don “K” Kaltschmidt.

In my opinion, Don will bring common sense conservatism to Montana. He has spent his career working hard in the private sector to earn success and create jobs.

It’s hard to imagine that some believe Don K is some kind of a political liberal. Well, he isn’t a liberal. I know him well, and he’s definitely a thoughtful conservative. He is not, however, a political ideologue. He doesn’t just have ideas, he acts on his ideas.

Good things happen when Don is involved. His focus is always on positive and practical results, and we can count on that to continue if we choose him to represent us in the Montana State Senate.

The last legislative session is better remembered for bickering and political maneuvering than for any important accomplishments that either liberals or conservatives could point to with a sense of accomplishment. Don K is exactly the kind of leader we need to get state government back on track and efficiently working for the people.

Finger pointing and self righteous stubbornness should be less common in our legislature, and what should be more common is common sense. Let’s send Don “K” Kaltschmidt, a true common sense conservative to provide positive leadership in the legislature.
