Monday, April 25
7:20 a.m. Report of a verbal disturbance on West Lakeshore Drive.
10:45 a.m. Police gave a strong verbal warning to a resident with a dog running loose.
11:57 a.m. Report of theft from a vehicle on East 2nd Street.
Tuesday, April 26
7:55 a.m. Theft from East 1st Street was caught on security camera.
12:03 p.m. A woman was warned about a vicious small dog tied up in front of a cafe on East 3rd Street.
2:19 p.m. A transient was advised to stay out of downtown stores and to stop harassing employees.
5:36 p.m. Police were searching for two boys who allegedly set a plastic doll on fire in a passageway between two downtown buildings. A man nearby put out the fire and chased after the boys.
9:45 p.m. Two men were fighting at an apartment on West 3rd Street.
11:05 p.m. A barking dog on Wisconsin Avenue is an ongoing problem.
Wednesday, April 27
12:58 p.m. A disorderly man knocked over some tables and trash cans at a downtown business.
5:54 p.m. Report of a camera stolen from a vehicle on Waverly Place.
6:12 p.m. A resident complained about too many vehicles parked along Denver Street.
Thursday, April 28
8:48 a.m. The reader board was damaged at the Whitefish Community Center.
11:50 a.m. A house boat was spotted motoring around on the Whitefish River. The owner was advised of the law banning gas-powered motors on the river.
11:51 a.m. A full-size pickup was given a citation for parking in a compact space on Central Avenue.
2:01 p.m. Report of a burglary on West 9th Street. The homeowner may have left the door unlocked.
5:03 p.m. A pickup was damaged when it was hit by a swinging chain-link fence at the City Hall construction site on Baker Avenue.
8:30 p.m. A resident took a pair of lost pit bulls to the police station.
8:55 p.m. Report of a verbal dispute on Central Avenue. A man allegedly slammed the door on a woman trying to get inside a bar.
Friday, April 29
12:14 p.m. The victim of a cat bite on West 6th Street was attempting to stop two dogs from attacking the cat when she was bitten.
1:57 p.m. A dog running loose on Columbia Avenue charged a person.
2:21 p.m. A man downtown wearing a beanie was walking slowing and saying obscene things.
5:41 p.m. A suspicious man downtown with dreadlocks and a dog was heard yelling things like “Can you feel it Whitefish?”
Saturday, April 30
1:09 a.m. Report of five people fighting downtown.
1:18 a.m. An iPhone was reported stolen at a downtown bar.
8:59 a.m. A Meadowlark Lane resident was worried about a neighbor’s house with the garage door left open and the light on. Police found nothing to be out of order.
9:12 a.m. The driver of a Lexus drove away after hitting a Subaru on Highway 93 South.
12:42 p.m. Report of a boy playing guitar downtown and yelling at people walking by.
11:56 p.m. Report of people on the roof of a downtown building.
Sunday, May 1
5:31 a.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle left running in a parking lot on Highway 93 South. The driver told police he was in trouble with his wife and was taking a nap.
4:04 p.m. Report of a man jaywalking and dancing across the street. Police had dealt with the man before. He was advised to use the crosswalk.
5:24 p.m. A friendly dog was abandoned at the dog park.
11 p.m. Report of a vehicle in the ditch at the dog park. One man was arrested.
