One fish, two fish — Whitefish Winter Carnival organizers have decided on a theme for next year’s big weekend.

The Carnival sent out a not-so-subtle hint over social media on Thursday showing a glimpse of “Cat and the Hat” characters Thing 1 and Thing 2. One can only reason that next year’s Grand Parade will feature many colorful takes on Dr. Seuss children books.

Dr. Suess penned classics such as “Green Eggs and Ham,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “One Fish Two Fish,” and “Oh, the Places You’ll Go."

Each year the Carnival chooses a different theme for the parade. Recent Carnival themes have included Super Bowl, a salute to veterans, Las Vegas, comics, pirates, Glacier Park, and fairy tales.

The main events for the next Winter Carnival are set for Feb. 3-5, 2017.
