Skiers headed up to Whitefish Mountain Resort have likely noticed a pair of vintage Tucker Sno-Cats parked at the bottom of Big Mountain Road.

Several classic Tucker Sno-Cats are on display for Ski Heritage Days, set for March 18-20, including a rare Tucker Sno-Kitten parked near the bottom of the Heritage T-Bar on the ski hill.

Joe and Cindy Gregory own the collector’s items. Along with lending the use of the Sno-Cats, they’ve donated $2,500 to the Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation in support of the event.

“Joe and Cindy Gregory’s contribution will play a huge part in making Ski Heritage Days a successful funding vehicle for the Ski Heritage Center,” said FVSEF Executive Director Tim Hinderman. “There has been tremendous generosity from throughout the skiing community in support of the Ski Heritage Center. The Gregory’s donation defines the spirit of community involvement necessary to deliver the major regional attraction that is our vision.”

Speaking about his affinity for the unique Tucker Sno-Cats, Joe commented, “My love of vintage work vehicles started with fire trucks, but then I became fascinated with the Tucker Sno-Cats. And it turns out that they are a great complement to the whole idea of Ski Heritage Days.”

The Gregory’s have divided time between Whitefish and longtime home in Tennessee for the past 15 years.
