Alyce Jacobson Nadeau

Alyce Jacobson Nadeau passed away peacefully on June 10, 2016. She was born in Cando, S.D., to John and Ragna Jacobson on May 13, 1917.

She lived and attended schools in Kootenai and Sandpoint, Idaho. In 1938, she married Roland “Sonny” Nadeau and they eventually settled in Whitefish where they raised their two sons, Michael and Noel.

She was an avid bridge player and was known to enjoy the Whitefish social scene.

Roland passed away in 1977. She married Victor in 1981 and moved to Spokane, Wash. She and Vic traveled the western U.S. in their RV and enjoyed 10 years of marriage until Vic’s death in 1991. She continued living in Spokane until 2013 when she moved to East Wenatchee, Wash., to be near her son, Noel.

Alyce is survived by her son, Noel and wife Shani of Anacortes, Wash.; daughter-in-law, Roberta Nadeau of Hampton, Va.; granddaughters, Laura Nadeau and Michele Nadeau of Hampton, Va.; and grandsons, Donovan Cates of Seattle, and D.J. Thornlow of Anacortes, Wash.; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, five sisters and her oldest son, Michael.

The family would like to thank all who cared for Alyce at Kadie Glen Assisted Living and her special friends, Patty and Dana Haugen of Spokane. No service is planned.
