Whitefish junior Sawyer Silliker posted a double-double Tuesday night to lead Whitefish in a 51-39 victory over Frenchtown.

Silliker put up 18 points, 10 rebounds and added four blocked shots as Whitefish picked up a key conference win fresh off Christmas break.

Whitefish trailed 23-20 at the half, but came out of the locker room on fire. Jansen Anderson drained a trey to knot the game at 28-28, and senior Luke May found Matt Brewer in the post on consecutive possessions to extend the lead.

Silliker owned the fourth quarter. During one stretch he scored seven straight points, blocked a shot, then hit two free throws after getting fouled in transition. His flurry gave the Dogs a 10 point lead.

Anderson finished with 10 points and Brewer added eight. May had six points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals in an all-around performance.

Whitefish moves to 2-4 overall with the win. The Dogs next play at Eureka on Thursday.
