Jameson and the Sordid Seeds’ third album, “Me and Eugene,” is set for release at the end of the month.

A release party will be held on Dec. 30 at the Craggy Range and Dec. 31 at Ed and Mully’s.

The record is a five song original EP featuring a variety of music styles — reggae roots, rock, and soul — blended with the band’s signature sound.

“We threw some reggae in there, some funk, some blues, all kinds of stuff,” frontman Brent Jameson said of the record. “Everything is falling into place, the merch, everything.”

Jameson and the Sordid Seeds has been playing together for seven years and previously released two albums, “I Walk Down Your Street” and “Two Shoes in Mary’s Basement.” The band is made up of singer and guitarist Jameson, bassist Sean Cooksey, drummer Joshua Glass and keyboardist Donny Rifkin.

The band is raising money via Kickstarter to cover studio, production and merchandise costs.

“Several of our songs feature a handful of the best musicians and singers from the Flathead Valley and they exceeded our expectations by far!” the band writes on its Kickstarter page. “We are so fortunate to have such a talented community to help contribute to our music. We take great pride in involving local musicians and being a community-involved band.”

As of Monday, the band was only about $500 short of raising its goal of $5,000. Those who donate $25 receive a shirt and copy of the album. To donate, visit https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1191290222/me-and-eugene-new-ep-by-jameson-and-the-sordid-see.
