JoAnne Lamb

JoAnne Lamb, 73, passed away Nov. 30, 2016 at Providence Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska, after a brief illness.

JoAnne was born July 16, 1943 in Whitefish, the youngest daughter of Elmer and Helen (Knuth) Lamb. She graduated from Whitefish High School in 1961 and attended the University of Montana for a short time.

JoAnne married Robert Huck III in Whitefish in June 1962 and had two sons, Matthew Huck and Robert Huck IV. She lived in various states, including California and New Hampshire before settling in Anchorage in 1970. She had a long career in banking, working with the public and operating a branch office until her retirement in 1993 when she moved to Palmer, Alaska.

JoAnne married Jim Swing in 1989 in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. She was known for her and Jim’s beautiful flowers at their home on Canoe Lake near Palmer.

JoAnne loved her family, her flowers and gardens, and reading thriller mystery novels.

JoAnne is survived by her husband James Swing; her brother Don (Shirley) Lamb of Lake Havasu, Arizona; her sons Matthew (Stacey) Huck of Anchorage and Robbie (Debbie) Huck of Eagle River, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are through Kehl’s Palmer Mortuary. A private family memorial was held on Dec. 3.
