Top 5 reasons to vote for Fern

Our local elections stand as our best chance to shape our government. Dave Fern’s bid for House District 5 promises to give us a voice at the State level. After my 10 years of collaboration with Dave on our local school board, I can confidently list my top five good reasons to vote Fern for HD5:

First, he researches enthusiastically and diligently. He has inspired the rest of us on the Whitefish School Board to do our homework regarding effective education systems, helping to provide opportunities for a superior learning experience.

Second, he actively engages in the budgeting process. He has been studying school budgets for more than 20 years, and can identify problem areas and pitfalls effectively.

Third, he boldly speaks his mind and carefully frames hard questions. He is already well known and respected in state and local education circles for his insightful and well-phrased inquiries.

Fourth, Dave maintains a diverse collection of focal points. He has thought carefully about child advocacy, civil rights, state resource management, state infrastructure, education issues and local tax relief, to name a few. And he is prepared to reach across the aisle to gain understanding and cooperation.

Fifth, he practices a strong work ethic and has focused his campaign effort on a door-to-door conversation. If he hasn’t knocked on your door yet, he intends to, in order to listen to your ideas.

I wholeheartedly support Dave Fern’s candidacy for HD 5. Be sure to vote!
