Elderly shoplifter banned from grocery

Monday, Aug. 1

9 a.m. Report of a man panhandling and swearing at people on Central Avenue.

1:10 p.m. An elderly woman was banned from a grocery store on Highway 93 South after ongoing shoplifting incidents.

Tuesday, Aug. 2

1:51 a.m. Report of an extremely intoxicated man downtown with poofy hair and his shorts falling off. The caller was worried about the safety of people leaving the bars.

9:55 a.m. Report of criminal mischief on Wisconsin Avenue. The door of a house was found kicked in.

3:20 a.m. Cameras, iPhones, iPads and sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle on Highway 93 South.

Wednesday, Aug. 3

12:09 p.m. Report of vandalism at a home on Texas Avenue.

1:07 p.m. An SUV with Alberta plates illegally passed a vehicle on Baker Avenue.

5:12 p.m. A couple with a blanket locked themselves inside a bathroom at a business on East First Street. The reporting party suspected they were doing drugs.

5:50 p.m. A man reportedly had drugs at an apartment on Lupfer Avenue. The man allegedly threatened to slash tires and smash the windows of a vehicle.

Thursday, Aug. 4

2:18 a.m. A man suspected of DUI was arrested after driving over a median on Highway 93 South.

9:30 a.m. Report of an employee stealing from the tip jar at a Spokane Avenue business.

3:33 p.m. Someone stole a pair of shoes from a downtown store.

3:56 p.m. An employee on East First Street said a pedophile has been coming into the store.

6:33 p.m. Someone ripped the soap dispenser off the wall of the restroom at City Beach.

Friday, Aug. 5

1:08 a.m. It sounded like someone was firing a gun on State Park Road.

7:51 a.m. Someone was sleeping under a billboard on Highway 40.

8:38 a.m. A dog bit a woman on Wisconsin Avenue.

9:35 a.m. A hand gun was seen on the dashboard of a pickup parked near a bank on Spokane Avenue.

11:22 p.m. An unruly patient left the hospital with an IV in her arm.

Saturday, Aug. 6

8:42 a.m. A transient was following a family around downtown. The man had been kicked out of a coffee shop twice that morning.

9:11 a.m. Report of a fight in the middle of Central Avenue.

5:34 p.m. Someone tried to steal patio furniture from a downtown building.

8:49 p.m. An older man was slammed into a wall and forced to the ground during an altercation downtown. The suspect left the scene with a woman.

Sunday, Aug. 7

3:16 a.m. A man found an intoxicated person sleeping inside his car parked downtown. He and his friends removed the man and left him in the street.

3:23 a.m. Report of a man with no clothes on downtown.

4:45 a.m. A transient standing in the middle of East 2nd Street claimed someone stole her dog.

4:33 p.m. A woman was passed out downtown. People walking by were commenting that she might be dead. She was not moving but was breathing.
