City looks to fill volunteer boards

The city of Whitefish is looking to fill vacancies on several volunteer committees.

Two positions are open on the Impact Fee Advisory Committee. Both are two year terms. One opening is for a person who is a certified public accountant and the other is a member-at-large. Applicants must either live or work within the Whitefish zoning jurisdiction. The committee meets once per year.

The Wisconsin Avenue corridor plan steering committee has one position open for a residential owner-occupied property owner in the Wisconsin Avenue corridor. The committee will met as often as necessary and will disband on June 1, 2017 or earlier.

The Whitefish Planning board has one position open to complete a term ending Dec. 31. The spot is open to a city resident and the committee meets once per month.

The Architectural Review Committee has one position open to complete a term ending May 31, 2018. The position is for a licensed architect. The committee meets once a month.

The Whitefish Lake and Lakeshore Protection Committee has one position to complete a term ending Dec. 31, 2017. The position is for a non-city resident who owns Whitefish lakefront property outside the city limits.

Those interested in serving on the committees, should submit a letter of interest to the Whitefish City Clerk’s Office at 1005 Baker Avenue or mail to P.O. Box 158, Whitefish, MT 59937, by Friday, Aug. 5. Interviews will be Aug. 15 as needed. Thereafter, if vacancies still exist, letters of interest will be accepted until the positions are filled.
