Police calls: Neighbors suspected of dumping herbs

Monday, April 11

3:16 p.m. A woman reported a bag stolen from her vehicle parked at the post office on Baker Avenue.

4:33 p.m. Speeding vehicles between Karrow and Good Avenue had some residents on edge. They were worried about children who play in the area.

8:48 p.m. A woman told police her ex smacked the car window while her children were inside.

9:09 A panhandler with a puppy was asked to leave the front of a store on Baker Avenue. The man threatened to sue the store if they didn’t give him a job.

Tuesday, April 12

5:30 p.m. A repo man recovering a vehicle from Dakota Avenue reported that someone took the tow lights off his vehicle. The resident he was taking the car from reportedly admitted to taking the lights and returned them.

10:18 p.m. Report of a burglary on Fairway View.

Wednesday, April 13

7:40 a.m. A Denver Street resident reported her herb plants dumped onto her floor mat and the pot missing. She suspected the neighbors did it.

10:06 a.m. The hospital reported a patient that left the facility with an IV in her arm.

11:31 a.m. Three men were trespassing in a abandoned property near the viaduct.

Thursday, April 14

8:10 p.m. An arrest was made following a physical disturbance on Spokane Avenue.

Friday, April 15

9:23 a.m. Transients sleeping near a pavilion on East 13th Street left garbage everywhere.

12:29 p.m. A caller reported that a transient stole his guitar. When approached about the theft, the transient allegedly threatened the caller with violence. The guitar eventually was returned to the rightful owner.

2:30 p.m. The warden was called for a deer caught in a fence near West 4th Street.

Saturday, April 16

12:58 a.m. Residents on Washington Avenue reported people knocking on the front and back doors of their home. Police talked to two suspects staying at an abandoned lake house who were advised to move along.

1:29 a.m. Report of a man lying on the sidewalk downtown. He said he was slightly intoxicated and would be moving along.

6:14 a.m. A downtown business reported an ongoing problem with transients. A pile of human feces was found in the back alley.

Sunday, April 17

5:12 p.m. People evicted from a house on Dakota Avenue returned and pried open a door. One person was arrested.
