Fashion police call real police on woman in red

Monday, April 4

2:36 a.m. Someone drained a woman’s bank account while she was on vacation. She noticed money was withdrawn from ATMs in increments of $100 over the past two days.

6:45 p.m. A caller was in tears over an argument about who had a reservation for the TV room at a clubhouse. The caller said a man was harassing her about a basketball game that was on TV. The two parties came to a conclusion about who would take the room for the night.

Tuesday, April 5

8:36 a.m. Report of suspicious kids walking along the railroad tracks near East 1st Street.

6:55 p.m. Report of an intoxicated man who reportedly attempted to drive with two children in his vehicle. The man was arrested.

Wednesday, April 6

7:19 p.m. Report of an intoxicated woman who wasn’t being very nice at a Colorado Avenue apartment.

Thursday, April 7

5:34 p.m. Report of a couple arguing on Edgewood Place. Both parties were counseled and the man was removed from the scene.

Friday, April 8

12 p.m. A garbage bag found on Spokane Avenue contained four unopened cans of Ice House beer, two half-smoked Marlboro cigarettes and a small metal marijuana pipe. Police destroyed the property.

12:19 p.m. Passports were stolen from an unlocked vehicle at City Beach.

6:19 p.m. Report of an overflowing garbage can at a lodge on Wisconsin Avenue. The caller was worried about a bear getting into the garbage.

6:21 p.m. Young children were in the road on Highway 93 South. The parents were in the garage.

7:53 p.m. Report of a suspicious woman on a skateboard with red hair, red pants and a red broom. She told police she was bored and wanted to clean the sidewalks.

9:08 p.m. A disorderly man who threw a punch at a security guard was being pinned down on a Central Avenue sidewalk.

9:43 p.m. Someone attempted to steal a vehicle from a maintenance shop at Iron Horse. Security chased the man until he bailed and left the vehicle behind.

Saturday, April 9

3:02 p.m. Police collected a syringe found at a downtown bar.

4:19 p.m. Two guns were reported stolen from a store at the mall. An employee was showing the guns to two men. When he turned around, the two men and two guns were gone.

8:48 p.m. Report of a reckless driver coming off Big Mountain swerving all over the road.

Sunday, April 10

7:58 a.m. A driver was very upset about a turkey that was hit on the road and suffering. Police took care of the bird.

3:36 p.m. A woman was seen dragging her child to the car by the ankles. The child was checked out and everything was OK.
