Gray sets personal best in win at Frenchtown

Barrett Gray set a personal best in leading the Whitefish girls cross-country team to a win on Saturday at the King Ranch Invitational.

Gray cruised to victory with a winning time of 19 minutes, 17 seconds.

Only two girls broke the 20-minute barrier.

Whitefish’s Braya Hobson was fifth in 20:35 and Annika Gordon was 13th in 22:09.

That trio helped Whitefish easily claim team honors with a 57 score. Anaconda was a distant second with 106.

The Whitefish boys had one top 15 finisher in Ethan Potthoff. He was 12th in 17:33.

Whitefish was fourth with 119.
