Monday, Sept. 14
8:59 a.m. The door to the press box at the football field was found kicked in.
9:22 a.m. A transient was seen acting strangely in the park.
1:13 p.m. A flatscreen TV was found in the bushes behind a business on Baker Avenue.
1:33 p.m. Report of an attempted break-in through the roof of a pharmacy on Highway 93 South.
2:02 p.m. A Baker Avenue resident baked cookies for Whitefish Police officers as a thank you for keeping her safe.
8:04 p.m. A caller said she was assaulted after confronting a young couple about stealing items from her home. She had let the couple camp in her yard for about a week.
11:03 p.m. Suspicious teens were seen hanging out around Muldown Elementary.
Tuesday, Sept. 15
8:38 p.m. The driver of a white van with Canadian plates was taken into custody and questioned in connection with an Amber alert for a missing girl. The driver was not the suspect.
11:43 a.m. Report of a black bear in a tree off Flint Avenue.
11:54 a.m. A Baker Avenue resident said he opened his door and was face to face with a black bear. He took down all of his bird feeders.
4:47 p.m. Report of a vehicle break-in on Glenwood Road.
Wednesday, Sept. 16
2:31 a.m. Five suspicious sounding bumps were reported at Crestwood Resort. The caller said it wasn’t her dishwasher.
4:37 a.m. A donation box for the McDonalds foundation was stolen.
9:50 a.m. Tools were stolen from a job site on Highway 93 South.
7:35 p.m. Four transients in wool caps were seen on Woodland Place.
Thursday, Sept. 17
12:13 a.m. A man was left with a bloody nose after a fight downtown.
Friday, Sept. 18
3:24 p.m. A woman at the elementary school claimed people were attacking her after she confronted a driver who hit her vehicle then took off.
Saturday, Sept. 19
12:24 a.m. A man was arrested downtown for disorderly conduct.
1:29 a.m. A caller told police his father was assaulted by foreigners outside of a bar downtown. He said it’s not right that Canadians can come into town, start fights and get away with it.
2:40 a.m. A fight nearly broke out at the hot dog stand downtown.
12:25 p.m. Someone stole flowers from a downtown store again. The suspect was caught on video this time.
1:11 p.m. Report of tires slashed on Wisconsin Avenue.
2:10 p.m. Three bears were heading north on Pack Rat Lane.
Sunday, Sept. 20
3:37 p.m. A black fat bike stocked with special gear was stolen from East 4th Street.
4:09 p.m. Report of kids mooning customers in a restaurant on Highway 93 South. There were trying to skateboard inside the building and refused to take off their shoes in the play area. The customer they mooned was very upset. An employee confiscated their skateboards and police released the kids to their parents.
7:13 p.m. Two bears were hanging out at an apple tree on Marina Crest Lane.
