Whitefish High School’s Homecoming is running this week through Saturday, Sept.19. Once again, we hope to make this homecoming an event for the whole community.

All local businesses in Whitefish are being challenged to decorate their windows with Bulldog spirit, and prizes will be awarded to the top three that show the most Whitefish pride.

Homecoming week started out on Sunday with a window/sign decorating competition between the grades, culminating in the awarding of a “spirit jug” to the class with the best decorations.

On Tuesday, our high school hosted a community open house, followed by the Homecoming Kickoff.

The Homecoming athletic competitions for the week include football on Friday at 7 p.m. versus Stevensville. Soccer is on Saturday at 5 p.m. for the boys versus Polson, and 7 p.m. for the girls versus Polson. All soccer games will be played on Memorial Field.

We would love for the entire community to come out and support our teams.

In addition, on Friday the homecoming parade will start at 4:30 p.m. and go through downtown Whitefish, and then the presentation and crowning of homecoming royalty will occur at halftime of the football game.

In the past, WHS has received amazing community support during Homecoming Week, and I hope that this year will be the same. Make Homecoming 2015 a great event by coming out and helping cheer our Dogs to victory.

If you have any additional questions about homecoming week, please check the school website at whs.wsd44.org.

Thank you and go Bulldogs!
