The Bulldogs welcome Stevensville to the Dog Pound on Friday night for Homecoming.

Stevensville (1-2) fell 48-22 at Frenchtown last week and sits in third place in the Southwest A conference.

Whitefish (2-1) is coming off a 47-8 victory at Browning.

Bulldog coach Chad Ross said his team needs to stay focused amid the Homecoming hoopla before and during the game to have success.

“We need to be mentally prepared,” Ross said.

The Yellowjackets are led by first-year coach Tif Myers. The team has five returning starters on offense and defense.

Ross said Stevi likes to establish the run, then tries to spread the ball to its receivers.

“They’re young and getting better every week,” Ross said.

Senior quarterback Bryce Torrey (6-4, 190) runs the Jackets’ offense.

“He’s a great athlete and a big kid,” Ross said.
