E. Marceen Peterman
E. Marceen Peterman knocked on the Pearly Gates, Aug. 27, 2015. Heaven received an angel and a prayer warrior that day.
Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren carry on her spirit.
We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Marceen during her 89 years. Among them, add ketchup to everything, stubbornness can be an endearing quality, and a well written card adorned with stickers can make a difference.
She was raised by her mother, Florence Opie, and her step-father, Johnny Martin, in the Flathead Valley.
She worked hard and graduated nursing school which allowed her to practice her passion in life, nursing. Marceen was the first recipient of the Florence Nightingale Award for excellence in nursing in the Flathead Valley.
Marceen married Burton John Peterman on March 13, 1948. After retirement, they moved to Arizona to be close to family and discard their shovels. They enjoyed taking turns being the boss on a daily basis.
They were able to spend quality time with some of their great-grandchildren to make a lasting impression on Makayla, Abigail, Kiera and Dylan. We know they will forever be grateful for that time.
Marceen is reunited with her husband and favorite debate partner, BJ Peterman; as well as her son, Dennis Peterman; her sister, Dorothy; and her grandson, Tim Francis.
Those entrusted to carry on her legacy and lead a life of passion are her children, Sharon Howell, Dave (Dana) Peterman, Darcy (Russ) Trostad; her grandchildren, Karen, Rhonda Thomas, Michael Howell, Mark Howell, Matthew Howell, Tara (Scott) Johnson, Ryan Trostad, Lindsay (Steve) Peterman-Albritton, Aaron (Alex) Peterman, Alyssa Pterman, Austin Peterman, Jason Jarvis, Nick Jarvis; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
We all know you are dancing with Jesus and you are home.
Special thanks to Precious Care and Hospice of the Valley. Arrangements in the Flathead Valley are pending. The family can be contacted at 2033 E. Jade Dr., Chandler Arizona 85286 or by email at sunlakes4me@yahoo.com
