Monday, Oct. 5
12:43 p.m. A woman on Columbia Ave. reported that her ex was stalking her and in the middle of the night planted a camera at her residence.
1:50 p.m. A hit and run was reported on Central Avenue.
5:13 p.m. A white suburban was hit by a green Toyota on Highway 93 S.
7:58 p.m. Report of religious people going door to door on Skyles Place. The caller asked them to leave her elderly neighbor alone and they wouldn’t.
8:32 p.m. A tenant on Wisconsin Ave. had a verbal disagreement with her landlord after receiving an eviction notice.
9:35 p.m. A bear was getting into garbage on East 2nd Street.
Tuesday, Oct. 6
7:51 a.m. Report of a chihuahua mix dog biting someone on W. 6th St.
9:18 a.m. A 13-year-old left school on E. 2nd St.
11:21 a.m. A man was hitchhiking on Highway 40.
11:38 a.m. Someone found $72 on the ground on Spokane Avenue and wanted to keep the money, if no one claimed it.
2:22 p.m. A panic alarm went off on Baker Avenue.
3:46 p.m A black Toyota Highlander on Baker Avenue was struck by another vehicle, which drove away.
8:17 p.m. A wood planer and drill were stolen from a garage on Woodside Lane.
Wednesday, Oct. 7
8:31 a.m. A burglar alarm went off at a home on West Lakeshore Drive.
11:09 a.m. A resident on Iowa Ave. reported fraudulant charges on their credit card.
2:54 p.m. A caller from British Columbia said her ex had stolen a check from her and she believed he had tried to cash it at a Whitefish bank.
4:08 p.m. An unlocked bike was stolen from a residence on Iowa Avenue.
5:33 p.m. A semi-truck was blocking both entrances to a parking lot on Spokane Avenue.
7:30 p.m. A green mini-van drove into the ditch off Voerman Road.
11:19 p.m. Report of a gate that appeared to have been broken into on East Second Street.
Thursday, Oct. 8
12:41 a.m. A male voice was heard shouting “help” along Highway 40 near The Monterra. The voice would shout then be quiet for a few minutes. Officers responded but couldn’t find anyone.
2:16 p.m. An employee on Wisconsin Avenue deposited their paycheck electronically and then tried to take it to a store to deposit it.
4:55 p.m. A woman came to the police department to get assistance with retrieving her service dog from someone she claimed stole the dog in Washington, but lives in Whitefish.
6:47 p.m. A large spool or wire had fallen from a vehicle on Spokane Avenue.
7:30 p.m. A small black bear was wandering around East Lakeshore Drive.
10:34 p.m. An alarm was going off inside a house on Lookout Lane. Officers found a deadbolt lock on one of the doors to be malfunctioning and notified the homeowner.
11:12 p.m. An unwanted man was hanging around a residence on Wisconsin Avenue.
11:36 p.m. Employees at a fast food restaurant on Highway 93 reported a driver who came through the drive-through with open beer bottles in the vehicle.
Friday, Oct. 9
1:25 p.m. Two men wearing backward hats were overheard talking about breaking into vehicles parked at the ice skating rink.
2:50 p.m. Report of a panhandler on Highway 93 who placed a rock in the road to keep drivers from hitting him. Police moved the rock from the roadway.
11:04 p.m. A man on Shiloh Avenue asked police to remove his girlfriend’s mother from the property. She was reportedly screaming and pounding on windows.
Saturday, Oct. 10
4:37 p.m. A driver in a white Subaru ran into a building on Baker Avenue.
9:49 p.m. A resident on Waverly chased a sow and two cubs from his house.
10:07 p.m. A fallen tree was blocking both lanes of East Lakeshore Drive.
Sunday, Oct. 11
3:05 a.m. Report of a bear getting into garbage on Wisconsin Avenue.
10:17 a.m. An unlocked vehicle was broken into on Baker Avenue.
11:47 a.m. A driver on Highway 93 South found an arrow stuck into the topper of his pickup.
