Ski club takes over management of Nordic Shop
Glacier Nordic Club recently purchased the Glacier Nordic Shop from Glacier Cyclery and Nordic.
“The Club is very excited about this new endeavor,” says Rita Braun, a Glacier Nordic board member. “We’ll be able to connect with our membership in a more personal way, and have endless opportunities to better pursue our mission of instilling a life-long love of cross-country skiing.”
In a moment of perfect timing, Ron and Jan Brunk of Glacier Cyclery were ready to sell, Whitefish Lake Golf Course was willing to lease, and through the huge success of the Great Fish Challenge, the club acquired the financial means to complete the sale.
As in prior years, Glacier Nordic Shop will be a full-service shop, but with one exception and an added benefit. It won’t be selling ski boots — Glacier Cyclery & Nordic will — but individual memberships now come with a free day pass and half-day rental; family memberships come with two free day passes and two half-day rentals.
Join the club for its annual potluck and auction at the Moose Lodge on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. Event proceeds help fund Glacier Nordic Ski Team. The potluck dinners, side dishes, and desserts are great.
Take advantage of early season discounts on season memberships until Dec. 5. Purchase an individual membership for $55 ($65 after the deadline) and receive a free trail pass and half-day rental for a guest or friend. Purchase a family membership for $110 ($130 after the deadline) and receive two free trail passes and two half-day rentals.
