Man charged for failing to register as sex offender

A man who allegedly declined to register as a sexual offender while living in Whitefish is facing felony charges.

Bradley Allen Barr, 51, was arrested Oct. 29 on a warrant and is being charged in Flathead County District Court.

According to court documents, Barr failed to register as a sex offender while he was living on West 3rd Street in Whitefish from December 2013 to June 2014. During investigations, Whitefish police learned that Barr had a warrant out of Lincoln County for failure to register, and that he was convicted in 2012 of failure to register in Lincoln County, documents state.

He faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine for the latest felony charge. His arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 12.
