Construction destruction

Being a longtime resident of the Haugen Heights Area of Whitefish, may I share some insight as regards the sudden development of that area? The advent of 30-plus homes on adjoining land that touches my property means: Dust for months now and driving a gauntlet on Haugen Heights with trenches for underground utilities, mounds of dirt, the vehicle bouncing up and down… followed by additional trenches on the opposite side of the road. Plus the experience of earth tremors caused by the heavy equipment; the entire frame of the house shakes.

It would be a shared experience if the developers, owners and lending institutions could feel and be on Haugen Heights to get the full treatment; naturally that’s not the case.

Some may say dismissively, “It’s strictly business” in reference to the projects under way, but as for me: It’s all I got… that strip of property and house that others may consider a hovel!
